Hero's Walk

Event Date:
October 21, 2017 Cancelled
Location:
Frame Park 1240 Frame Park Waukesha, WI 53186

Superheroes don't fly, they walk this October 21st. Now you don't have to own a cape and tights to be a hero in the fight against Melanoma. But it might just be fun to be in "superhero mode" while raising money for melanoma cancer research. In fact we highly encourage it.

Taking On Melanoma (T.O.M) is dedicated in honor and loving memory of Thomas W. Keel Jr. It was formed by Tom's parents in late 2012 after Tom had lost his courageous two year battle at the young age of 29. Tom's family want to emulate Tom's inner strength and compassion by raising awareness and live saving funds for melanoma cancer research. It is their passion to find a cure so no other parent will not walk down the devastating path of loosing a child to this beast.

Who it benefits:

Taking On Melanoma is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation with 100% of all proceeds fund research at UW Carbone Cancer Center. In addition to this walk, Taking On Melanoma has several annual fundraisers, their flagship event being Keel's Casino on the Lake, Betting on a Cure! held at the Golden Mast on Okauchee Lake every third Sunday in July. It's time to believe in your melanoma heroes warriors, survivors and taken. Know that together we will make the difference!
