The only Shakespeare 5K in the United States!

Join Silver Circle Sports Events, LLC and Marquette University's Association of English Graduate Students for the only Shakespeare 5K in the United States!  This unique 5K takes place in downtown Milwaukee at Juneau Park and includes a free kiddo's 1K. Come dressed in your favorite Shakespeareancostume.

Proceeds benefit the Marquette University's Association of English Graduate Students.

Updates

The April 21st event has been rescheduled for August 23 due to weather.  Those registered for the April 21st event will automatically be entered into the Beer Garden 5K on August 23rd.  
 
If you would like to register for the combined Shakespeare Beer Garden 5K, you will be redirected to the Beer Garden registration site.

The "Puck" 1 K

Bring the kiddo's out for FREE Puck 1K.  Entry does not include a shirt but they can be purchased during registration.  Don't remember who Puck was?  

Refer your friends and save money on registration!

For every three registrations, we will refund $10.00 of your registration fee.  Two ways to do it.

Facebook
At registration checkout, you will be given the option to share your registration on Facebook.  If 3 people register from that post, shazam we will refund $10. 

Email
On your registration receipt, there will be a registration link. Share that link and we will refund $10 for every 3 registrations.
You can find the registration link by logging into your Run Sign Up account and email the receipt to yourself.  The software will keep track of friends registering from your link and Facebook post.

Awards: 

Overall Male & Female. 
Trophies for the male & female overall 5K winners, the winner of the Puck Run, and the winner(s) of the costume contest will be provided by Kissing Frog of Litchfield, Michigan.  

Each class of trophy features a different Shakespeare quote laser-inscribed on high-quality reclaimed woods and fashioned into charming decorative pieces by master woodworker Jack Hendrickson.  You can check out more of Jack's creations here.

Top 3 male & female finishers in 5 year age groups.

Best-dressed Shakespeare or character from a Shakespeare play.

Average Joe & Jane Romeo & Juliet Awards

Got Costume?

Make sure you dress in your best Macbeth, Othello Hamlet. There will be a costume contest for best kiddo, best team and best overall costume. Need some help with a character? Here is a list of all Shakespeare characters A-KL-Z

Timing: 

The event is chip timed by Silver Circle Sports Events.

Aid Station: 

There will be one aid station on course.

Tshirts: 

Everyone who is registered by Friday April 13 will be guaranteed a custom shirt.  After that, we cannot guarantee shirts and they will only be available while on line supplies last.

Volunteers: 

We need volunteers for everything from goody bag stuffing to course marshals. If you or your group have an interest in volunteering, we would greatly appreciate the assistance.  All volunteers can run a future race at no charge.

Weather / Refund Policy: 

Refunds are not permitted for any reason.

The event will be held unless severe weather occurs. In the event of severe weather, the race director may delay or cancel the event.  If the event is canceled, there will be no refunds. Silver Circle Sports Events has a NO REFUND policy.
