The Forest Home Historic Preservation Association is dedicated to the preservation of Forest Home Cemetery as Wisconsin’s premier garden cemetery, its historical significance and creating a community resource for the greater Milwaukee area.
Forest Home Cemetery contains 178 Civil War veterans in unmarked graves. In addition, 22 government headstones are so worn that they need replacement. Part of your race proceeds will help to provide the appropriate markers for these veterans.  You also may specifically donate, separate from the race to help provide a headstone for these Civil War veterans.
