We are pleased to welcome our newest Partner J3 timing and the Beer Garden 5K - Hoffman Estates for a fun and unique 5k Run/Walk.  Our Event will begin with a 5K Run/Walk and end with your entrance into the Beer Garden.  Your entry fee includes a T-Shirt, entry into the Beer Garden, free samples and (1) 12 oz beer of your choice.  

Carl Hanson Woods, Grove 1 is located off of Rt. 59 and Shoe Factory Road in Hoffman Estates.  This trail through the gorgeous Carol Hanson Woods, Cook County Forest Preserve, is unpaved and is for both the amateur or seasoned runner/walker.

Schedule: 

9:00 am -- Packet Pickup and Registration Opens
10:00 a.m. -- Race Start
10:05 a.m. -- Beer Garden Opens!
11:15 a.m. -- Awards Ceremony

Awards: 

Age group medals for 1st - 3rd male & female in 5 year age brackets.

Team Awards

  • Fastest team with at least 4 members (four fastest scores used to calculate time) - free beer for each team member
  • Largest team - free stein for team leader & 1 refill to share all your new friends
Timing: 

Races are professionally chipped timed by J3 Timing, LLC.

Aid Station: 

There will be an athlete aid station at approximately 1.5 miles.

Tshirts: 

Everyone who is registered by Friday a week prior to the event will be guaranteed a custom Beer Garden shirt.  After that, we cannot guarantee shirts and they will only be available while on line supplies last.    The shirts are cotton unisex.

Packet Pickup: 

Packets can be picked up the day of the race. 

Volunteers: 

We need volunteers for everything from goody bag stuffing to course marshals. If you or your group have an interest in volunteering, we would greatly appreciate the assistance. Please contact us at katie@silvercirclesportsevents.com for more volunteer information.

Weather / Refund Policy: 

Refunds are not permitted for any reason.

The event will be held unless severe weather occurs. In the event of severe weather, the race director may delay or cancel the event.  If the event is canceled, there will be no refunds. Silver Circle Sports Events has a NO REFUND policy.
